Streamlogic's added features for broadcast reliability and quality:
Streamlogics prefers to route video signals back to a controlled environment (rather than encoding the video signal onsite as displayed in the above diagram) in order to limit the possibility of errors and to ensure that IP packets never travel on the public Internet until final distribution to the end user.
Streamlogics uses Video fibre (Broadcast) for signal capture asince it offers the highest quality video signal. If video fibre is not available at a particular venue, Streamlogics will arrange for the provision of a temporary microwave transmitter to transmit the signal to the local TOC (Television Operations Centre) where Streamlogics will pick up the signal through its permanent video fibre circuit. Once the signal is backhauled to Streamlogics' Broadcast Operations Centre in Toronto, the sources are fed directly into a high-end audio/video switcher capable of managing 32 individual sources.
